Integrated Solid Waste Management - Urban Connections

The event's theme is the integrated solid waste management in the Metropolitan Region of the Cuiabá River Valley (RMVRC). The focus is on the adoption/expansion of waste separation practices in buildings and condominiums, as well as selective waste collection in Cuiabá. The event will be held virtually and streamed live. It will begin with an presentation by the Condominium Association of Mato Grosso - SINDSCOND/MT, outlining their perspectives on working with condominium units. Following that, the Municipal Government of Cuiabá, through LIMPURB, will present their current work, planning, and cooperation with waste picker cooperatives. In the third panel, ORIZON, the company responsible for managing the Sanitary Landfill/Ecopark in Cuiabá, will showcase their work as the final destination in the solid waste management chain. In the final panel, the Deputy Secretary of Metropolitan Management and Planning (SAGPM-SINFRA/MT) will delve into the state's role, focusing on the Integrated Solid Waste Management Plan for the RMVRC.
