Indonesia Urban Dialogue

Indonesia Urban Dialogue is a form of communication, discussion, or dialogue involving government, non-governmental organizations, academics, civil society, property developers, local community representatives, private sector, and other stakeholders. The objective of Urban Dialogue is to seek inclusive and sustainable solutions to provide decent housing with due regard to basic services, environment, social inequality, and land tenure for low-income people in urban areas and informal settlements. It is expected to be a platform to share knowledge, perspectives and experiences on urban issues, seek common understanding and explore appropriate solutions. The event was organized collaboratively by Habitat for Humanity Indonesia (HFHI) and the Gotong Royong Housing Coalition on October 4-5, as well as part of the commemoration of Habitat Day in October 2023. Furthermore, this discussion opened a space to identify challenges, formulate policies, and plan better programs to improve access to housing and land ownership for low-income people in urban areas.
