This 90-minute webinar builds on research by the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED) in partnership with Pathfinders for Peaceful, Just and Inclusive Societies. The event will launch IIED’s latest research report on a people-centered approach to housing justice, featuring a keynote presentation that draws on case studies from Brazil, the United States, and South Africa. Following the presentation, a panel of experts in housing and justice-sector reform will respond to the research findings and discuss their implications for the field at large. Audience members will have an opportunity to ask the presenters and panelists questions at the end of the discussion. This event will connect the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 16.3 (access to justice), 11.1 (adequate, safe, and affordable housing), and 10.3 (equal opportunity and reduced inequalities of outcome), recognizing that reducing inequalities is essential to advancing both adequate housing and equal access to justice.
