Green Cities Paris | La Ferme du Rail

As part of the Green Cities series organized by the Consortium for Sustainable Urbanization, architect Clara Simay will describe the collaborative effort that resulted in La Ferme du Rail, the first urban farm in Paris, located on the Petite Ceinture rail loop in the 19th arrondissement. The project includes a large vegetable garden, a greenhouse, a public restaurant, and housing for people in the process of social reintegration. It is a replicable model implementing aspects of the circular economy and demonstrating the underlying principles of community engagement and local production.
