Gender and Climate Justice in Urban Areas

Climate change affects different social groups unevenly. When examined through the intersection with gender issues, especially in vulnerable urban contexts, specific challenges emerge that must be addressed in order to build a more sustainable and equitable future. In this sense, incorporating a gender perspective into the climate debate is not only necessary but fundamental to advancing social justice and developing truly inclusive solutions. The goal of this event is to bring together Brazilian organizations to share experiences, knowledge, and projects that engage with these themes. The proposal is to encourage participants to reflect on the importance of the intersection between gender and urban resilience, recognizing it as a strategic and transformative tool for climate action.
