Frankfurt City Tour - Gentrification in the Gallus neighbourhood

Gentrification describes district-related upgrading processes and the associated displacement of poorer population groups. To be able to understand the respective course of such processes, local political power relations as well as district-related specifics are essential. The district walk is therefore intended to provide an insight into the current dynamics using the example of the Gallus neighborhood in Frankfurt. The walk aims to make it comprehensible how such processes take place in concrete terms and what the influence of state and private actors consists of. The city tour is part of the EPN Hessen Perspective Change Series and is carried out by the AK Kritische-Geographie.
