The Fauna-Friendly City Manual is an innovative initiative of the Municipal Secretariat of Green and Environment (SVMA) in partnership with the AMPARA Animal Institute, designed to promote urban sustainability and civic awareness through a set of fundamental recommendations for human–wildlife coexistence and biodiversity conservation. The event will take place on October 13–14, 2025, at the Open University of the Environment and Culture of Peace – UMAPAZ/SVMA, in the southern zone of São Paulo. AMPARA Animal will present the institute and share its experience in drafting the Manual on the first day of the event, October 13, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. AMPARA Animal’s presence will also be a valuable opportunity to highlight the actions established in the Manual, which have been developed and implemented by the institute in São Paulo. The expectation is that this presentation will encourage participants—especially city residents—to better understand the impacts on biodiversity caused by human–wildlife conflicts in cities, and to collectively reflect on the initiatives and actions proposed in the Manual to make urban life more sustainable, balanced, and healthy for all living beings.
