Exhibition NexusArt "A punt per començar!"

The exhibition A punt per començar, featuring works by students from the Academy of Fine Arts of Rome (ABA Roma), opens on October 23, 2024, in Barcelona. Selected through a competition organized by the European NexusArt program and curated by the PRIMA Foundation and NEXUS-NESS project, the exhibition focuses on sustainability, water, food, and climate security. It showcases 14 contemporary artworks by 24 students from the School of Decoration and the School of Cinema, Photography, and Audiovisual Arts, supervised by ABA Roma professors. These works address eco-hydrological and socio-environmental challenges arising from the climate crisis and result from a science-art collaboration involving students, professors, and researchers from various disciplines. The exhibition is hosted at the UNESCO World Heritage Site Recinte Modernista de Sant Pau. The Dialogue and Inauguration event (October 23rd at 6 p.m.) will bring together scientists, artists, and the directors of the PRIMA Foundation and the Academy of Fine Arts of Rome to discuss their multidisciplinary collaboration and reflect on art’s role in engaging the public on planetary health issues.
