While there are many headlines about Asia’s aging population, it’s actually the most youthful region in the world – with over 1.1 billion people aged under 30. While youth are the future policy makers and citizens of cities and represents a large workforce that can contribute to both the formal and informal economies, their engagement in urban planning and development is still overlooked by city project stakeholders.
CDIA recognizes the importance of youth engagement in urban development and has collaborated with youth stakeholders on infrastructure projects in Georgia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Vietnam, and India.
In this webinar, we will talk about why involving youth in infrastructure projects is critical to securing a sustainable future for the region – and how young people can contribute to their cities’ futures.
Make sure you stay tuned at the end of the Urban Breakfast for a Q&A session where you will be able to engage with the guest speakers!
