Environmental Education vs. Social Vulnerabilities: Challenges in an Ecological Literacy Process

The virtual panel "Environmental Education vs. Social Vulnerabilities: Challenges in an Ecological Literacy Process" will share the experience of the training program for young environmental ambassadors organized by SESC Rio in a community in Niterói. The process of environmental education, based on the concept of ecological literacy, was confronted by aspects of social vulnerability. This panel will reflect on how social deficiencies create cultural patterns that can hinder or even perpetuate individuals in unsustainable practices. Often, such practices can exacerbate the degradation of urban environments. The discussion will revolve around potential solutions to mitigate these adverse impacts and foster positive changes within various social groups.
