ECO-NEIGHBOURHOODS: for peaceful and sustainable communities and cities

The event will present the Eco-neighbourhood Programme, which operates in 8 centers and brings together urban communities to develop new systemic skills and to imagine new ways of living and inhabiting the planet, paying close attention to: health, spirituality, politics, economy, communication, culture, education, and ecology. The Programme was responsible for multiple strategies and solutions on different levels: individual, house, neighborhood (building/street/block). One of the initiatives aims to establish local cooperation networks where creativity, harmony, and diversity inspire local actions, continuously reconnecting community members with their territories and nature. After presenting the Eco-neighborhood Programme, there will be a debate on how these experiences can be replicated and expanded, generating a larger participatory network towards sustainable cities.
