Collaborative urbanism and activism fighting the pandemic: results from the citizen laboratory ConectaLAB

The COVID-10 pandemic highlighted a common problem in many Brazilian cities: the lack of water supply, especially in peripheral regions of large cities. In this scenario, IAB RS, collaborating with the TransLAB.URB collective, held the citizen laboratory ConectaLAB, with the objective of thinking and proposing emergency solutions to the water supply, especially in urban spaces. People from different areas of activity and various places in the country participated virtually in this laboratory. The seven days of work resulted in a book of proposals, which can be used by communities in the face of the different situations in which they are affected by the lack of supply. The proposals are not intended to replace the responsibility of the public authorities, but rather to equip participants to learn about the possibilities of action by managers.
