On September 30th, by invitation of the French Alliance and Casa Humboldt, Clowns Sans Frontières and Clowns ohn Grenzen will travel for the first time to Ecuador. Together with local artists, they will host a street show and popular theatrical, circus, and body expression workshops with Venezuelan and Ecuadorian boys, girls, and adolescents who find themselves in situations of vulnerability. The mission of CSF and COG is to intervene in marginal communities with high concentrations of populations who are in situations of human mobility with the goal of uniting them in a moment of celebration. During the parade, they will share an atmosphere pacified by the presence of puppets, clowns, musicians, and dancers who will come to pass-along their great sense of humor and, above all, prove that, despite cultural differences, it is possible to learn and create together in mutual trust. Ecuadorian artists from “Humor y Vida”, which has carried out numerous humanitarian projects in the country for the past 10 years, will participate in the design of the parade and the capacity-building workshops together with French-German artists. They will learn to make giant puppets and put on a show that fosters a uniting experience for everyone.
