Ciudades Amazonicas + Sostenibilidad

The Amazon is a territory of natural, cultural and social megadiversity that makes it a key space for resilience to climate change, survival and well-being of the human species at a local and global level. However, for centuries, the Amazon has been the most invisible and neglected region on the public agenda of national development. We seek to influence reflection on the Amazonian territorial context, its urban planning, the use of its green infrastructure, its public policies and its communities. MITA architecture research group is pleased to announce the second International Architecture Forum "Amazon Cities + Sustainability", the activity consists of a virtual exhibition of the works produced by architecture students from the Universidad Peruana Unión, Peru and guest speakers. The researchers will have the opportunity to enrich their work with comments of actors from civil society, the public sector, the private sector and researchers from the corresponding field. The event will be broadcast on Facebook Live Arquitectura UPeU.
