As part of Urban October, the community activations emerging from the Citizen Labs in the municipalities of Villa Elisa and Mariano Roque Alonso are being implemented.
These activations represent the practical phase of the lab process, where citizens and local governments co-implement collaborative projects to improve public spaces and strengthen community ties. The interventions include light and participatory actions —such as lighting installations, murals, signage, and park revitalization— aimed at creating safer, more inclusive, and sustainable neighborhoods.
This initiative is part of the project “Participatory Governance in Paraguay: Municipal Development Councils and Neighborhood Commissions. Lessons Learned and Good Practices”, implemented by the Research Center for Culture and Participation in partnership with UNDP Paraguay and the National University of Asunción, with co-funding from CONACYT through the PROCIENCIA program and support from FEELI.
