During the 1960s and 1970s, developing countries began to seek ways to chart their own path to development - such as South-South technical cooperation. After a few decades, it became necessary to realign strategies to address pressing social, economic, and environmental issues. In the urban context, cities play a significant role in promoting changes for sustainable and inclusive development, considering the strengthening the circular economy, which influences green recovery, improves environmental equilibrium, and holds the potential for enhanced prosperity and quality of life for both people and the planet. In times when we are dealing with factors that challenge possible futures for the construction of resilient cities, this dialogue aims to present an approach to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the New Urban Agenda in line with mechanisms of South-South cooperation.
