The Cariocada Festival has a deep connection with Itaboraí’s history, having held its three previous editions at Praça Fonte da Carioca. This square, once an important local landmark, had lost much of its public presence. With the return of the festival, the square has been revitalized, once again becoming a meeting and celebration point for the community—demonstrating how the project strengthens local heritage and reactivates public life.
