"Carbon-free cities in the context of the urban agendas. Sources of financing" is the event which EuroVértice Consultants, supported by the Spanish Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda of proposes to join the UN-Habitat Urban October initiative. This conference, which will take place on October 28th at the Murcia Science Park, has a triple purpose. On the one hand, it will raise awareness of the major challenges posed by the decarbonizing to the cities, underlining the important role that urban agendas can play. On the other hand, it will introduce potential sources of funding for cities through public-private partnerships. It will be presented our LIFE Cityadap3 project and the future calls for European funds of the new programming period 2021-2027, at national and regional level such as the Next Generation funds. Finally, we will share the experience of the pilot cities of the Spanish Urban Agenda in order to highlight the role of citizens in its development and the importance to achieve more sustainable cities. During this day, an exhibition of the initiative called Urbactivistas, formed within the European Festival of the New Bauhaus, will show the work developed by citizens during the drafting of the urban agendas.
