Building inclusive cities for indigenous people - Barra do Corda, MA" is a symposium-type academic event, in virtual format, which aims to discuss concrete actions, of an interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary nature, that are being implemented and/or proposed for the Canela and Guajajara indigenous communities who use the urban space of the city of Barra do Corda, located in the area of the Legal Amazon of northeastern Maranhão, Brazil. The central focus is to discuss actions that value indigenous rights to the city in an inclusive way, taking into account the particularities associated with urban life - work, study, health care and leisure - and villages - a place of ancestral coexistence. In this way, it presents inclusive discussions in the areas of education, health, culture, museums, tourism, communication and language. The scope of the themes focuses on indigenous rights to the city from a broader perspective anchored in the 2030 agenda.
