BMSCA CELEBRATES WORLD HABITAT DAY IN ASSOCIATION WITH NIUA

The impact of built environment on the physical, mental, and social well-being of individuals is evident across the globe. The significant changes in development and urbanization scenarios have made it inevitable to bring together fraternity of educators, students, professionals to work on possible solutions to the issues which degrade our habitats and neighbourhoods. BMSCA envisions World Habitat Day as an occasion to spread the knowledge of Habitat design and development. On this World Habitat Day, the college intends to engage all concerned stakeholders in understanding the role of Architecture and Habitat design towards building better liveable and conducive environments. World Habitat day is celebrated annually focussing on the state of human settlements and the basic right to adequate shelter. The program is premised on the theme: Accelerating urban action for a carbon-free world through webinar ,design competition and interactive sessions and activities on campus. At BMSCA, the occasion shall be celebrated with well organized programs engaging professionals in discussions on ‘the role of urbanization and the reforms/ strategies required to lead towards carbon free world.’ Through the event, BMSCA is keen in reaching out to diverse audience including students and teachers from other architecture colleges, researchers, practitioners, planners and authoritarians
