Low-income peripheral neighborhoods are those with the highest demand for urban infrastructure and quality leisure and social spaces, whose absence exacerbates inequalities and increases the vulnerability of residents to the impacts of climate change on health, well-being, and daily life. Given this reality, these neighborhoods are often the subject of fieldwork in architecture and urbanism courses, which aim to identify and discuss community needs and develop proposals and intervention projects. This event seeks to present and discuss, together with the community, the proposals developed by students from the Architecture and Urbanism programs at Faculdade Madre Thaís/Faculdade de Ilhéus, focusing on part of the Nelson Costa neighborhood in the city of Ilhéus, BA.
