Aligning municipal initiatives with integrated urban planning

The event initiates an alignment of Local Institutions for Sustainable Development, based on municipal citizen action: what the municipalities of the mountain region are doing, to this global commitment. Many municipalities have expressed an interest in developing actions to implement the 2030 Agenda, but they have few references for this. The Panels and the Workshop will aim to make this link between public authorities, representatives of civil society and the private sector in the participating municipalities; and to advance the sustainable development agenda in the territories of the mountain region. The focus of this edition will be the municipalities of Bom Jardim, Cantagalo, Carmo, Cordeiro, Duas Barras, Macuco, Nova Friburgo, Petrópolis, São José do Vale do Rio Preto, São Sebastião do Alto, Santa Maria Madalena, Sumidouro, Teresópolis and Trajano de Moraes), the mountain region has high levels of economic development and socio-environmental issues that require integrated action.
