In line with "Objective 3. Closed and connected city" and "Objective 4. Cultural, vibrant and participatory city" from the City Vision of San Nicolas de los Garza 2030, the municipality seeks to promote the implementation of projects aimed at improving the relationship of its inhabitants with public space in the short, medium, and long term. Therefore, it proposes a tactical urban planning intervention, under the theme of the consolidation of smooth and safe mobility networks, at the intersection of Av. Universidad and Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz Street, which connects the Amado Nervo Park through a green corridor. The intervention is based on quick and low-cost solutions, collaborative implementation with community support, and data collection to monitor and evaluate the results and changes generated from such interventions to determine the possibility of making definitive transformations. Starting the second week of October, the intervention will be socialized with the community (neighbors and neighboring businesses) to gather volunteers who want to participate in the transformation of this intersection. The intervention will take place from October 23rd to 25th and consist of activities to train volunteers, paint the new street geometry, and social activations.
