On October 15th, the Viladecans City Council will host the third edition of the Viladecans 2030 Conference. This event has become a key meeting point for all intermediate cities committed to shaping the future of urban transformation. Under the theme “Intermediate Cities, Essential Cities” and, as part of UN-Habitat’s Urban October, this edition highlights the transformative role of cities in shaping a more sustainable, inclusive, and forward-looking urban future.
The conference features three simultaneous thematic tracks, each addressing a key dimension of urban innovation: - Cities with Purpose: Towards Decarbonisation as a Shared Horizon (2030 Agenda) - Local Urban Agendas: Governing through Networks (Local Urban Agenda) - Intermediate Cities as Future Laboratories: Society 5.0 (Strategic Prospective) Viladecans 2030 is a space for learning, dialogue, and collaboration—where local action meets global ambition.
