From Manta, Ecuador, Taller 2-12 will develop “31 Days to Talk About Our Cities,” a month-long digital public information campaign for Urban October 2026. From 1 to 31 October, the initiative will publish one evidence-based piece each day through the web and social media, connecting global urban debates with the realities of Ecuadorian and Latin American cities. Topics will include adequate housing, land-use planning and management, public space, sustainable mobility, climate resilience, urban regeneration, territorial governance, informal settlements and the New Urban Agenda. The campaign aims to make urban knowledge accessible to professionals, students, public officials and citizens, while encouraging informed discussion about how cities can become more inclusive, resilient and sustainable. Special attention will be given to the 2026 themes “Adequate Housing for All” and “Regenerating the City: Adequate Housing for All.” Content will rely on official, academic and technical sources, with a local perspective from Manta, Ecuador.
