🌍 Let’s Sort Our Waste! In celebration of World Habitat Day and World Cities Day 2025, the Ministry of Public Works is holding the Sekolah Rakyat Waste Sorting Competition to promote a clean, smart, and environmentally friendly school culture. The competition invites all students, teachers, and school staff across Indonesia to practice responsible waste management by sorting organic, inorganic, and residual waste, reducing single-use plastics, minimizing food waste, and using resources wisely. Through this activity, Sekolah Rakyat aims to nurture environmental awareness from an early age and become a model for waste management at the source—supporting national targets of 70% waste reduction and 30% emission reduction by 2030. Held from 20–24 October 2025, the competition encourages schools to record their sorting progress in a digital logbook and share their actions on social media. This initiative demonstrates that real change begins in the classroom, empowering students to take small but meaningful steps toward a cleaner, greener future. 💚
