Technical training about Spatial Adaptation of Markets to Prevent Covid-19 in Mozambique Cities

The largest urban areas, with the intent of reducing Covid-19 impact, are adopting prevention measures with medium and long-term responses. Public spaces and urban equipment of great agglomeration, as markets and essential stores, are priority areas for adaptation.
UN-Habitat, through the Urban Task Force assembled by the national government and Mozambique cities with the help of other parties, is offering technical assistance for the spatial adaptation of Markets in the City of Maputo as a pilot Municipality. The Urban Task Force created a “Guide to Spatial Adaptation of markets to COVID-19 prevention in urban areas of Mozambique”, as a Manual of Good Practices and applications to help an efficient transformation of markets to prevent COVID-19 in urban spaces. The main goal of the training is to provide technical support to Mozambique cities to a proper spatial adaptation of marketing to fight COVID-19, with the tool “Guide to Spatial Adaptation of markets to COVID-19 prevention in urban areas of Mozambique”.
