This event will present a detailed video exploring the development of our research. We will address the issues, our innovative solution, the ultimate goal, and the current stage of the project. Our focus is on creating a developing a construction material that can effectively replace conventional pillars and beams, improving energy efficiency and acoustics, reducing concrete consumption by 70%, construction time by 30%, iron rebar usage by 50%, and slashing carbon dioxide emissions by 234.85 kg/m². Sustainable masonry relies on recycled cement, clay, water, and synthetic raffia. It boasts an exceptional strength of 12.18 MPa after 28 days, surpassing standard expectations (which range from 4.5 MPa to 16 MPa). Additionally, the incorporation of blast furnace slag can further boost the strength by 60-70%, in contrast to the 6 MPa of traditional blocks. The straightforward assembly process, utilizing a press and 28-40 days of curing, is particularly appealing to small and medium manufacturers. This approach facilitates local production and significantly reduces CO2 emissions.
