The Second Lao National Urban Forum

The second Lao National Urban Forum (LNUF) on the week of World Habitat Day (WHD) 2023 will provide a platform for dialogue and collaboration among urban stakeholders in Laos. The forum will focus on the theme "Resilient urban economies: cities as drivers of growth and recovery" and identify innovative and practical solutions for urban development in Laos. The forum will produce a set of recommendations that will inform the government's decision-making process on urban development in Laos. The objectives of the LNUF are: • To provide a platform for dialogue and collaboration among urban stakeholders in Laos. • To discuss and share experiences on urbanization challenges and opportunities in Laos. • To raise awareness of the importance of resilient urban economies in driving growth and recovery in Laos. • To identify innovative and practical solutions for urban development in Laos. The LNUF will produce the following outputs: • A report on the proceedings of the forum, including the discussions and recommendations. • A set of recommendations on urban development in Laos, focusing on the sub-themes of the forum. • A summary of the forum's key messages and outcomes.
