Resilient Urban Economies: Cities as Drivers of Growth & Recovery

World Habitat Day is observed annually on the first Monday of October, as an event jointly organized by Ministry of Urban Development (MOUD) and UN-Habitat with various urban stakeholders in Nepal. Aligned with the global theme, the half day event brings together wider stakeholders working in urban sector to focus the discussion on how the federal transitioning together with rapid urbanization can contribute in national economic growth and prosperity. Key note speech will be delivered by the Chief Economic Advisor of Ministry of Finance, followed by presentation from Local Research Organization followed by panel discussions bringing together wider stakeholders from local government, ministry, professional body, financing institution and private sector.
