Resilient urban economies. Cities as drivers of growth and recovery

In 2023, the World Habitat Day, under the theme, “Resilient urban economies. Cities as drivers of growth and recovery” will look at the importance of urban economies. In Fukuoka, we have a plan to hold the World Habitat Day event which will invite two guest speakers; one is the Chief Researcher, Fukuoka Asia Urban Research Center and the other is City of Tsukuba Policy and Innovation Department Adviser, who has various knowledge and his experience in terms of “start-up” and “innovation” virtually on 2 October. The theme is “Resilient urban economies. Cities as drivers of growth and recovery”. They will give presentations for us about their research contents and their experience. Through this event, we would like to provide you, for example, local government, companies civil society and citizens, the opportunity to think about urban economy.
