Rally Currambero Urbano

"Rally Currambero Urbano" is a project by the Global Shapers Community Barranquilla Hub in partnership with Laboratorio de Ciudad. It will consist of a city rally for 40 young people between the ages of 18 and 35, aimed at fostering an understanding of values associated with the right to the city, urbanism, and public space appropriation. This will be achieved through the development of teamwork skills and the adoption of new methods of urban storytelling in the Rio Mar district of Barranquilla. The project will use creative methodologies for city experiences. The project arises in response to the need to promote the appropriation and understanding of public spaces among the youth of Barranquilla, as well as to spread the concepts of a smart city. Through this initiative, the aim is for participants to develop a sense of belonging to their city, understanding and appreciating the principles of urbanism and smart cities. "Rally Currambero Urbano", inspired by the literary works of Gabriel García Márquez and with stations named after endemic trees, not only aims to highlight the value of urban ecology but also to foster a sense of belonging among the young people and citizens who participate.
