Inclusion of People with Disabilities in Risk Management in RJ

"The MCR2030 initiative supports municipalities in building resilience and adapting to climate change. Rio de Janeiro joined the MCR2030 initiative in 2022 with the goal of accelerating the implementation of resilience and risk reduction actions, focusing on social inclusion and community empowerment. This workshop aims to advance these topics by using the UNDRR's Disability Inclusive Score Card, a tool that helps municipalities understand the needs of people with disabilities and include them in risk management. The workshop aims to: Strengthen the inclusive approach to resilience and risk management through the participation and empowerment of people with disabilities. Assess the resilience and inclusion capabilities of people with disabilities in the city's risk management system. Develop multi-sectoral and participatory actions for the resilience and inclusion of people with disabilities in the city's risk management system."
