Our focus is to address public safety in the periphery and the challenges faced by black women and men face challenges. These challenges encompass issues like limited urban mobility, police violence, or other factors. The format will be a roundtable discussion, featuring invited individuals already active in this field or conducting relevant research. Our approach will be intersectional, highlighting how this issue particularly affects the lives and realities of black women in the periphery. Our theme is closely related to the thematic line due to the denial of rights and the genocide of black individuals living in Brazilian peripheries, as well as the lack of active engagement with peripheral community leaders in the process of developing public policies in our country.
