Green policies and urban sustainability in Barra do Corda/MA

In this inaugural edition of the event, we will address topics related to sustainability and the construction industry, aiming to deepen the understanding of the population in Barra do Corda, MA. We seek to promote education for new civil engineers who are conscious of the need for integrated economic development that aligns with environmental protection. Additionally, our focus extends to addressing the impacts resulting from the absence of sustainable policies and urban planning in this municipality, with a particular emphasis on their effects on communities, especially those in vulnerable situations. We will engage in discussions and present proposals to address these issues based the UN Sustainable Development Goals and strategies that incorporate the establishment of public policies for creating inclusive, resilient, and sustainable human settlements in this urban area with influences from indigenous cultures.
