Conversations about Humanitarian Architecture - Designing the Future Today

The international humanitarian crisis has been accentuated in recent years, mainly due to the large flow of migration resulting from wars, socioeconomic problems, territorial disputes, ethnic-racial conflicts, environmental disasters and the current COVID-19 pandemic. According to the UNHCR (United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees) report of 2020, there are currently almost 80,000,000 people in forced displacement in the world. The conversations aim to address situations of transience, urban integration, shelter and housing policies, among other topics, with the participation of various professionals and people in situations of refuge. In order to foster a broader debate on humanitarian architecture, discussions on the theme were organized, from the perspective of the expanded field, in the second half of 2020, always on Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. (Brasília time), with free online broadcasting through Zoom and YouTube. Certificates will be issued for those attending the three sessions.
