This event proposes a roundtable discussion that will bring together representatives from community organizations in vulnerable areas within the city of São Paulo. These organizations participated in the PANEX-YOUTH research, a collaborative effort between the School of Public Health at the University of São Paulo in partnership and international universities. The discussion will revolve around the following question: What was the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the food, education, and leisure of children and young people in their communities, and how did they organize themselves to face and adapt to these challenges? The invited guests have already shared their experiences through interviews for the research. This will be an opportunity to facilitate in-person interactions among different stakeholders and projects, aiming to foster exchanges and strengthen cooperative networks in the periphery. The event will also feature the participation of other researchers from the School of Public Health at the University of São Paulo who are conducting investigations related to community responses to COVID-19.
