Social housing: portraits and diagnostics in communities before and after the COVID-19

The event will stimulate the thoughts of communities' inhabitants about the space in which they live, and it will be divided into 3 blocks of 60 minutes each. The first one, a talk between researchers in popular housing, will discuss issues related to environmental comfort and the perception of the vulnerability aspects highlighted by the pandemic.

The second block will be a photography workshop that will provide the public with tools to take and make their live pictures and photographic records of their own homes and then supply a collaborative virtual gallery. The generated visual narrative will be commented.

The subjects for the images’ captures will focus on aspects related to the thermal and environmental comfort of their habitations: heat, wind, noise, lighting and use of air conditioning. In the third block, an upload of the images on the ArqXP.com platform will be made in order to create a register and so allow the team send a feedback to assist improving the comfort of the habitations.
