In the Network Balance: When education will be able to leave home – Challenges to post-pandemic education

This event consists of a set of additional actions related to the program “Network Balance II” promoted by the Network of Cooperation and Studies in Sustainability, Innovation and Public Policies [Rede de Cooperação e Estudos em Sustentabilidade, Inovação e Políticas Públicas - RESIPP]. Its objective is to discuss and reflect on the proposals and actions aimed at creating opportunities for the achievement of a better quality of life and greater inclusion in urban spaces, in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Global Agenda, with a special focus on the post-COVID-19 reality.

The panel will be composed of teachers from elementary and higher education in Brazil and Mozambique who will look at their own realities to reflect on the challenges of distance learning and remote working and the difficulties of access to such modalities of education and work that people living in vulnerable areas have to overcome. The panelists will highlight the extent to which the pandemic makes educational inequalities stand out in the urban context.
