Conversations on Humanitarian Architecture - Refuge Situations in Rio de Janeiro

The international humanitarian crisis has been accentuated in recent years, mainly due to the great flow of migrations resulting from wars, socioeconomic problems, territorial disputes, ethnic-racial conflicts, environmental disasters and the current COVID-19 pandemic. According to the UNHCR (United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees) report of 2020, there are currently almost 80,000,000 people on forced displacement in the world.

The conversations intend to address situations of transience, urban integration, reception and housing policies, among other topics, with the participation of several professionals and people in a situation of refuge. To foster a broader debate on humanitarian architecture, conversations were organized on the topic, from the perspective of the expanded field, in the second half of 2020, always on Thursdays at 6:30 pm (Brasília time), with free online transmission by Zoom and YouTube. Certificates will be issued to those who attend the three sessions.
