Getting Involved Project: from inside to outside the school

The struggle for inclusive cities is long and necessary: an accessible and safe city for a child is accessible and safe for anyone. However, the question remains, is it still valid to plan cities for children without understanding their point of view on the territory? Relating the dynamics of the city in the learning of children and young people, allows them to become more questioning with the surrounding space and have the opportunity to become active citizens for the right to the city. However, in this moment of the COVID-19 pandemic, when contact with the street is limited and the school environment is online, the challenge is not to understand how to promote such questions in children, but to listen to them. We intend to show some concepts and processes carried out in the construction and adaptation of the project methodology. This, which is currently being carried out with children aged 6 to 18 years old at the State School Prof. José Amaral Mello, on the outskirts of the North Zone of São Paulo.
