Roundtable Discussion Title: Mobilizing Urban Stakeholders to Accelerate Action towards the SDGs for 2030.

This virtual "LIVE" Roundtable Discussion will take place on Wednesday October 7th at 9am New York time / 3pm Paris time, and will be accessible on MS Teams for those who register here:

This 60-minute roundtable discussion will be moderated by a director of UN Habitat, and will feature 3 international Experts. It will be recorded and made available on UN Habitat's YouTube channel, until October 31st at midnight (CET), along with 12 inspiring ShortDocs on sustainability initiatives in megacities that improve the lives of residents in megacities.

Expert 2: Alé Badara SY - Senior urban planner and climate change expert, with a specialisation in housing and the green economy. M. Expert 3: Ms Soo-jin KIM - Head of the Urban Policies and Reviews Unit, Deputy Head of the Cities, Urban Policies and Sustainable Development Division in the OECD Centre for Entrepreneurship, SMEs, Regions and Cities, with extensive knowledge in urban sustainability, territorial integration of the SDGs and housing issues. This Urban October event will kickoff the partnership between UN Habitat, MegaCities-ShortDocs, and Mission 2030 for Sustainable Cities.
MegaCities-ShortDocs is an international NGO that organises ShortDocumentary Film Festivals every year in Paris. If you want to propose a ShortDoc (4-minute film) on sustainable solutions to challenges in megacities, you have until October 15th to participate in the competition for various Awards and Prizes. The Film Festival is scheduled for December 10th, 2020 in Paris.
