Just and Sustainable Cities: Innovation and Collaborative Intelligence

Our event at Urban Circuit 2025, the result of a partnership between CAU/BR and SNDUM of the Ministry of Cities (MCid), takes as its central theme Data, Innovation, and Smart Cities. We aim to explore how the strategic use of data and innovative solutions, combined with collaborative intelligence, can help build a fairer, more sustainable, and resilient urban future in Brazil. We will highlight the importance of the Capacidades Platform (SNDUM/MCid), which trains public officials, technical professionals, and social actors, and of the ATHIS Observatory (CAU/BR), which compiles publications and georeferenced data on Technical Assistance for Social Housing (ATHIS). Together, these tools are crucial for informed decision-making, collaborative advancement, and knowledge sharing. Structured as an expository panel, the session will focus on the convergence of these two platforms. This synergy creates a robust ecosystem for urban development, where ongoing training is continuously reinforced by real data, and society as a whole can use the ATHIS Observatory as a strategic tool. Our goal is to democratize access to qualified information and optimize resources, strengthening collective action toward more integrated, sustainable, and resilient cities.
