The Cities +2°C [Cidades + 2ºC] program arises from the recognition that global warming, already inevitable, imposes urgent and complex challenges on Brazilian cities. Based on scientific evidence and guided by a practical action logic, the program proposes an integrated, innovative, and strategic approach to addressing climate risks in urban spaces. Its main objective is to connect technical knowledge, technological innovation, public and private financing, participatory governance, and real-scale experimentation.
“La Esquina” is an interactive program of temporary tactical interventions that encourage the appropriation of spaces—mainly public ones—to transform Insper into a place of urban life and innovation, integrating the city and the community.
Therefore, “La Esquina: Cities +2°C” will be a temporary tactical intervention taking place around Insper, in São Paulo, designed to provoke debate on global warming and the challenges it imposes on Brazilian cities. The site of the intervention will serve as a stage for discussion on adaptation, mitigation, and innovation, featuring guests from the institution and other specialists.
Regarding the event day: due to the institution’s schedule, the date is flexible; however, the ideal time for student participation would be between 12:00 and 13:30. We remain available for the best possible alignment.
Note on duration: Roundtable: 1h30 / Installation: available from 9:00 to 18:00.
