Resilient Cities: Green Infrastructure and Climate Governance

The panel “Resilient Cities: Green Infrastructure and Climate Governance” is part of the Urban Circuit 2025 program, with the aim of debating how sustainable urban planning, environmental management, and the enhancement of the landscape can strengthen cities’ resilience in the face of the climate crisis. The online meeting will bring together experts to discuss ways to integrate environment, urbanism, and society in building fairer territories that are better prepared for environmental impacts. The debate will address the importance of public policies and environmental management in promoting urban sustainability; the strategic role of landscape, open spaces, and green infrastructure in climate adaptation; and the relationship between cultural heritage, social housing, and urban planning as foundations of inclusive climate governance. The panel proposes an interdisciplinary and practical approach, connecting science, public policy, and local experiences. The initiative seeks to inspire policymakers, professionals, and civil society to develop innovative strategies to expand quality of life, socio-environmental justice, and sustainability, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals and the 2030 Agenda.
