Urban Resilience in a Changing Climate

UN-Habitat Pakistan in collaboration with Shehersaaz will convene an event to mark the Global Observance of World Habitat Day, focusing on the theme of urban crisis response with an emphasis on the climate crisis. The event will bring together stakeholders from government, civil society, and local communities to discuss the urgent challenges posed by climate change in urban areas, including rising temperatures, flooding, and resource scarcity. Pakistan’s cities are at the frontline of climate crises due to the impacts of climate change. The event will highlight how cities can build resilience, reduce climate-related risks, and promote sustainable, inclusive recovery for vulnerable urban populations.
