The project to strengthen the resilience of vulnerable neighborhoods in Abobo, initiated by Habitat for Humanity Côte d'Ivoire (HFHCI) in partnership with the AVSI Foundation and co-financed by UN-Habitat Côte d'Ivoire, aims to transform informal settlements into better-structured, healthier spaces with essential services. This participatory project includes the construction and rehabilitation of infrastructure in collaboration with local communities, including community latrines, drainage canals, and waste collection points. It also plans to rehabilitate main roads, repair housing along these routes, and install public lighting to enhance residents' safety. The project launch brought together key institutional partners such as the European Union, the African Development Bank (AfDB), the Autonomous District of Abidjan, and local authorities. These partners expressed strong support for the project, which aims to address urban inequalities and provide more dignified living conditions for Abobo's residents.
