The National Urban Forum is a dialogue platform promoted by the Ministry of Housing, Construction, and Sanitation that brings together specialists, authorities, academia, and the public. The purpose of this space is to analyze, debate, and create synergies around the challenges and opportunities related to the territorial and urban development of cities, as well as other topics led by the housing and urbanism subsector. For this third edition, framed by the implementation of the National Housing and Urbanism Policy, the Sustainable Urban Development Law, and the New Urban Agenda of UN-Habitat, the National Urban Forum will address the following topics: - Urban and territorial planning - Urban mobility - Housing, particularly social housing The event's program includes various conferences where both international and national speakers will share experiences from other cities in the region on urban planning and mobility. Additionally, the ministry will present progress and actions being promoted. This event serves as a prelude to the twelfth edition of the World Urban Forum, to be held in November in Cairo, Egypt, where the aim is to replicate the significance of these platforms to strategically and collaboratively promote the exchange of knowledge and practices.
