Actions for Sustainable Cities - Empowering Local Stakeholders and Fostering Citizen Engagement

Adequate housing for the spectrum of need in Honolulu and around the US remains a prominent concern and we must address this and other issues surrounding urban resilience with a new sense of urgency. Hear from local officials on how a cross-government approach is leading to progress on providing more housing for more people – especially workforce housing, rental housing, and transitional housing while continuing to support market rate housing. Particular themes will be permanent supporting housing for the homeless and financing the retrofitting of older buildings for energy efficiency.
