"The 3rd Cultivating Dreams for Prates Festival, presented in a circuit format, will unfold across public and institutional spaces on October 27 and 28, featuring preparatory activities and community mobilization leading up to the panel discussion scheduled for October 28. One of the pressing issues in Belo Horizonte currently revolves around the future utilization of the former Carlos Prates Airport area. It is imperative that we collective develop an integrated urban project that takes into consideration the area's history, memory, existing infrastructure, the daily life of this territory, and the demands and expectations of the local community. This must be done in a participatory and democratic manner. This event is an initiative by the Urban Space Production teaching, extension, and research group at the Pontifical Catholic University of Minas Gerais, along with the Atingidos pelo Prates Collective and the Trama Collective. We have the support of the Professor Morais State School, the Institute of Architects of Brazil in Minas Gerais, and the Nossa Senhora Rainha da Paz Parish."
